How To Prepare For Microneedling
Consult with a skin specialist in advance of a microneedling procedure to ensure you are prepared and have taken the right steps. You might have to cease taking certain medications, such as ibuprofen or acne treatment medication several weeks before the appointment date so that your skin can have the best possible outcome.
You should also make sure to avoid tons of sun exposure and wear sunscreen with a high SPF on the days leading up to your procedure and refrain from using harsh skin care products, such as glycolic acid or retinol as these may increase the sensitivity of your skin prior to your microneedling.
What To Expect After Microneedling
After receiving a treatment that includes microneedling, the skin will be slightly red and may feel like sunburn. This is normal and will subside within a few hours. The tenderness around the treated area should resolve quickly. It's important to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen after treatment to protect the skin while it heals.

At Skin with Bea, we offer RF Microneedling in addition to traditional Microneedling. RF Microneedling is a more advanced treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production and provide long-lasting results. This form of skin rejuvenation can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and uneven skin texture
