Fine Lines & Wrinkle Treatment in Scottsdale, Area by Area

Crow’s feet, smile lines, forehead, lips and neck: what works for each, and why the cause comes first.

The right wrinkle treatment in Scottsdale depends on where the lines are and what’s causing them. Crow’s feet, forehead lines, smile lines, lip lines and neck lines each respond to something different, so this page goes area by area. I’m Nurse Bea, an Aesthetic Registered Nurse and Licensed Aesthetician, and this is how I plan fine line and wrinkle treatment with clients.

Treatments here are done by me or by a certified aesthetic registered nurse who is also a Certified Laser Technician on my team, following my protocol.

Bea is amazing. She is authentic and really does care how you look. She addresses concerns and goes to work! While she was marking me up for Botox she looked at my leg where I had a dog bite and did some red light on it to help it heal faster, that’s just who she is!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had a wonderful experience with Bea at Skin with Bea! She is incredibly kind, professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I really appreciated that she never tried to sell me unnecessary products or services—she genuinely recommended what was best for me. I received the LaseMD laser treatment on my face and neck, along with a little Botox, and I’m so happy with my experience. I highly recommend Bea to anyone looking for honest, skilled, and personalized care. Thank you, Bea!
Absolutely blown away with the awesome service, information, and education that was provided today at my consultation. As a male this was my first time ever visiting a clinic and Bea was so kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable with her trade. On top of everything, the clinic after evaluating everything, did not attempt to even sell or push any services or products and simply recommended a very inexpensive product. Highly recommended.

My daughter had an amazing appointment with Bea! She was incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to explain everything, and made us feel confident throughout the visit. After all this time, we finally have a clear treatment plan, including CO₂ laser treatments, and we finally feel like we’re on the right path. We’re so grateful for her expertise and are excited to see my daughter’s skin become healthy, smooth, and beautiful. Highly recommend Bea!

I had such an amazing experience with my Botox appointment with Nurse Bea! I originally went in to address the fine lines on my forehead and between my eyes, and I left with so much more than just great Botox results. My nurse went completely above and beyond. She took extra time after my appointment to create a personalized skincare routine specifically for my skin. She didn’t just recommend products (and not push or try to sell)—she explained why each one would benefit me and even included before-and-after photos so I could understand how effective they are and what kind of results to expect. What impressed me most was that she focused on long-term skin health, not just a quick fix. She helped me understand that while Botox will temporarily soften my fine lines, building healthier, stronger skin is what will truly improve my complexion over time. I left feeling educated, confident, and excited to start a skincare routine that supports lasting results. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares this much about their patients. I received not only excellent Botox treatment but also invaluable knowledge that will benefit my skin for years to come. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is knowledgeable, thorough, and truly invested in helping their patients achieve the best possible results. She truly went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for the time, care, and expertise she shared with me.

This is a great place for anyone looking for real results. I initially came in for IV therapy, which was phenomenal, but I later started focusing on my skincare and have seen tremendous improvement. My skin has truly transformed. Beatriz, the esthetician, takes the time to understand your skincare goals and customizes treatments based on what your specific skin needs. She’s thorough and attentive, it honestly feels like going to a doctor for your skin. She checks in, evaluates your progress, and adjusts accordingly. I highly recommend visiting if you’re serious about improving your skin.

What causes fine lines and wrinkles?

Sun is the biggest cause, on top of natural aging. Exposure to UV light breaks down collagen fibers and leads to the production of abnormal elastin, and one study found UV exposure seems to be responsible for 80% of visible facial aging signs.

Other things speed it up too: women’s skin loses about 30% of its collagen during the first five years of menopause, and chronic poor sleep quality is associated with increased signs of intrinsic ageing.

Before any in-office treatment, I want to know what’s causing your lines to show up faster. Living in Arizona, you’re already prone to premature aging; our sun is strong enough that Arizonans are diagnosed with melanoma at a rate 28% higher than the rest of the United States. Then there’s stress, lack of sleep and hormones. Knowing the main causes lets me plan the right treatment. Without that, people go in blindly with treatments that promise to fix the problem: some get lucky and some don’t, and in my experience most clients get better results and waste less money when we start with the cause.

The other half of the foundation is your skin itself. Starting with a good skincare routine, tretinoin and sunscreen, and getting your skin healthy before any in-office treatment, whether that’s microneedling, laser or filler, gives better and faster results in my experience.

Which treatment works for which area?

It depends on whether a line shows when you move, stays when your face is still, or comes from a fold. Lines from repeated expressions respond to Botox; lines that stay at rest respond to collagen-building treatments like laser and microneedling, plus a retinoid at home.

AreaWhat usually causes itWhat I use here
Crow’s feetSquinting and smiling, plus sunBotox, laser, microneedling, tretinoin and sunscreen
Forehead and frown (11) linesRaising brows and frowningBotox, laser, microneedling, tretinoin and sunscreen
Smile linesSmiling, gravity and flattening cheeksRF microneedling, microneedling or laser
Under-eye wrinklesRepeated expressions, sunHome care, microneedling, RF microneedling (eye-area needles)
Lip linesPursing, smoking, sunMicroneedling, TotalSkin Solution, Botox before a special occasion

What helps crow’s feet?

Botox for the lines that show when you smile, and laser or microneedling for the fine lines that stay. Crow’s feet are fine lines that form on the outer corners of your eyes, and they’re one of the areas Botox Cosmetic is FDA-approved for.

For crow’s feet I usually combine treatments: Botox to soften the movement, a Laser Facial or microneedling for the texture, and tretinoin plus daily sunscreen at home so the result lasts. More on Botox in Scottsdale.

What helps forehead and frown (11) lines?

The same combination: Botox for the movement, and laser or microneedling for the lines that stay when your face is relaxed. Botox Cosmetic’s FDA approvals cover forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet lines, and now platysma bands.

Lines that have been there for years usually need more than Botox alone, because the skin itself has creased. That’s where collagen-building treatments and a retinoid come in.

What helps smile lines?

Collagen-building treatments: RF microneedling for deeper folds, and microneedling or laser for the finer lines around them. Smile lines (nasolabial folds) may appear only when you smile or laugh, then disappear as your face relaxes when you’re younger, and deepen with time.

Filler is often offered first for deep folds, but in my experience it should be the last resort before surgery. If you do the collagen-building treatments first, you might not need filler at all, and the result lasts longer; if you do end up getting filler, you’ll usually need less and get a much better result, because your skin now has more collagen and elastin to support it. We don’t offer filler yet.

In a small study, improvement of nasolabial folds was seen with RF microneedling, especially at deeper settings, which is why Genius RF microneedling is my first choice here. When the fine lines around the folds need work too, I pair it with the laser as the TotalSkin Solution: Genius RF microneedling and the Lutronic Ultra laser in the same appointment. More on RF microneedling.

What helps under-eye wrinkles?

Home care, microneedling, or RF microneedling with special needles made for the eye area. Over time, repeated contraction of muscles underneath the skin can cause dynamic wrinkles under the eyes.

For some under-eye lines, home care is enough: sunscreen every day and a retinoid introduced slowly. For deeper lines, I use microneedling or Genius RF microneedling with the eye-area needles, and we decide at your consultation which yours need.

What helps lip lines?

Microneedling or the TotalSkin Solution for the lines themselves, and Botox if you want them softened within about two weeks for a special occasion. Habits such as smoking and sun exposure can create deeper lip wrinkles.

The Botox lip flip is an off-label use: Cleveland Clinic notes that Botox for lip lines and neck laxity aren’t FDA approved. That’s common in cosmetic practice, but you should know it.

What helps neck lines?

It depends on how severe they are: microneedling, the Ultra laser or the TotalSkin Solution, or for milder lines, home care alone. That home routine is a peptide neck cream (we carry the Derma Made Neck & Chest Renewal Cream), a retinoid and the Omnilux Neck & Décolleté LED mask.

Truly loose, sagging neck skin is a surgical conversation, not a med spa one, and I’ll tell you if that’s where you are.

Does Botox get rid of wrinkles?

It softens the lines that come from movement, for a few months at a time. Cleveland Clinic says the effect from Botox injections lasts around three to four months, so it’s a treatment you repeat.

Botox relaxes the muscle; it doesn’t rebuild the creased skin. That’s why lines that stay at rest need the treatments below as well.

Can laser or microneedling smooth fine lines?

Yes. Both work by building collagen: with non-ablative laser, heat from the laser promotes collagen production, which helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and microneedling works by stimulating your body to make collagen.

Our laser is the Lutronic Ultra, a 1927 nm thulium laser; in a small 2023 study of the 1927 nm wavelength, statistically significant improvements in melanin index, skin elasticity and wrinkles were noted. For deeper lines, a review found RF microneedling superior to Er:YAG fractional ablative lasers for treatment of rhytides on the lower face. If you have both deeper lines and fine texture, the TotalSkin Solution combines the two in one visit. More on laser skin resurfacing and microneedling.

How do I get rid of fine lines at home?

A retinoid at night and sunscreen every morning do the most. Prescription tretinoin is FDA-approved for use in the mitigation (palliation) of fine facial wrinkles, and over the counter, topical retinol improves fine wrinkles associated with natural aging.

Sunscreen is the prevention: the AAD recommends broad-spectrum protection and an SPF of at least 30, and in a 4.5-year trial, the daily sunscreen group showed no detectable increase in skin aging. If tretinoin is right for you, our Medical Director can provide it here.

How much does wrinkle treatment cost in Scottsdale?

The consultation is free, and your plan depends on the area and the cause. The Laser Facial is currently $495 a session and Medical microneedling currently $349, each less per session when you buy a series; for Botox, new clients get an introductory price.

RF microneedling is currently $900 a session and the TotalSkin Solution currently $1,200 a session, each less per session in a series or package, and nobody here works on commission. New clients hold their spot with a $50 deposit that goes toward treatment or products, or is refunded on request.

More questions I get about fine lines and wrinkles

Do wrinkle creams work?

Some do, if they contain a proven ingredient: in a controlled trial, topical retinol improves fine wrinkles associated with natural aging. Most creams without a retinoid only moisturize, which makes lines look softer for a few hours.

Does red light therapy help wrinkles?

It might, but the evidence is still thin. Cleveland Clinic notes most experts say that they don’t know yet if RLT is effective for all its claimed uses, so I treat LED as an add-on, not the main plan.

Can I combine Botox with laser or microneedling?

Yes, and for crow’s feet and forehead lines that’s often what I recommend: Botox for the movement, and laser or microneedling for the lines that stay. We plan the order and timing at your consultation.
